X, Q and Z come up far less often than the rest. A game that hands a seven-year-old "X — vegetables" is not a hard round, it is a round that ends.
The categories are things a child and an adult can both answer, so the game works at a table where the ages are twenty years apart.
Ten seconds, counted by somebody else, is what turns this from a quiz into a game. Without the clock the whole table thinks in silence and nobody says anything.
