The names are shuffled and dealt into the grid, so nobody is left out and no seat gets two people. Spare seats are spread through the room, or pushed to the back if you would rather keep the front full.
More people than seats and it says so rather than quietly dropping somebody.
Press the full-screen button and the plan fills the screen, big enough to read from the door as people come in.
The names stay in this browser. Nothing about the room, the list or the plan is sent anywhere.
