One person in the chair, questions coming at them. Sharper than an icebreaker, and for people who already know each other.

These assume the room already likes each other. Asked between strangers the same questions are an interrogation, which is what /icebreaker is for.
Still nothing cruel. A hot seat where the questions have teeth is a hot seat that ends a friendship rather than a round.
The chair should be uncomfortable for a short time and then belong to somebody else. A long turn stops being a game and starts being about one person.
